January 2022: In collaboration with AIS, the lab has been selected for funding by AFRL for the project CURE: Common Unifying Representation Embeddings

January 2022: Tufts University robotics faculty Elaine Short, Jivko Sinapov, Matthias Scheutz and Chris Rogers receive NSF grant from National Robotics Initiative for the project titled "Mutually Assistive Robotics".

November 2021 Lab director Jivko Sinapov co-organized a AAAI fall symposium on Aritificial Intelligence for Human-Robot Interaction. Check out the event's website for links to the papers and presentations.

October 2021: In collaboration with the Tufts CEEO and Maryville University, the lab has been selected for funding by the NSF for the project titled Integrating Artificial Intelligence with Smart Engineering and English Language Arts in Upper Elementary Education.

Dec 2019: Lab Director Jivko Sinapov joins Matthias Scheutz, Michael Hughes and Liping Liu from Tufts and Chittta Barral and Subbarao Kambhampati from ASU in the DARPA-funded project on Science of Artificial Intelligence and Learning for Open-world Novelty (SAIL-ON).

Nov 2019: Jivko Sinapov leads a team that won the Verizon 100K 5G EdTech Challenge with a proposal focused on investigating how Augmented Reality interfaces can enhance robotics education.
