Research Interests: Human-Robot Interaction, Augmented Reality
Andre is currently working on a Ph.D. in Human-Robot Interaction with a focus on using
Augmented Reality technology to improve the communication between robots and humans. He is a
GEM Fellow with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Outside of research, he
enjoys drawing, biking, playing guitar, and game development.
Shivam Goel

Systems
Shivam is interested in Reinforcement learning (RL) and applied RL in making intelligent
robots. His current research focuses on continual and lifelong learning in reinforcement
learning to make machines adaptable to changes in the environment. He usually finds free
time to do photography, traveling, cooking, and running.
Yash Shukla

Yash is interested in reinforcement learning, multiagent systems and their applications to
robotics. His current research focuses on identifying reinforcement learning techniques that
bridge the gap between simulation and reality. Outside of research, he loves to play board
games, travel and watch movies.
Gyan Tatiya

Research Interests: Deep Learning for Robotics, Multimodal Perception
Gyan is interested in knowledge transfer, multi-modal learning and manipulation in robots.
Currently, he is working on knowledge transfer techniques in robots that enable new robots
to learn a specific task from trained robots. Outside of his research, Gyan enjoys
photography, biking, working-out and cooking.
Anirudh Nair

Anirudh is interested in robotics, imitation learning, reinforcement learning, and computer

Si is interested in Multimodal Deep Learning and its practical implementation in robotics.
She is currently exploring knowledge transfer among robots equipped with multiple sensors.
